OVERVIEW

The WSM Sprite GT became renowned for its lightweight, performance-oriented design, with aluminium bodies constructed by Peel Coachworks. Notably, in 1964, two cars competed in the German Grand Prix support race at Nürburgring, achieving a remarkable 3rd in Class, followed by another 3rd in Class at the Rennen 500km at Nürburgring the following year.

This WSM Sprite GT is a remarkable example of the marque, with an impressive connection to its racing heritage. Having been restored to exceptional standards, and since campaigned by Gary, (who most of you will know), and a long-time friend. She's been raced at Brands Hatch and Thruxton by Gary and each Monday after the report of the weekend was always told with smiles!

The all-aluminium body of this WSM Sprite GT, much like its racing counterparts, is lightweight and uniquely crafted, making it a stand-out in terms of design and performance. Unlike many of its contemporaries, this car's aluminium construction provides reduced weight and a more streamlined appearance, offering both an aesthetic and functional advantage that's been preserved over time.

At its heart, this WSM Sprite GT boasts the same iconic 948cc A-Series engine, known for its lively performance and agility. While the car maintains its lightweight character, the engine's design has been optimized for performance, with modern enhancements ensuring it remains a thrilling car to drive. Whether you're looking for spirited track days or open-road enjoyment, the WSM Sprite GT delivers a truly exciting driving experience.

In keeping with the legacy of WSM cars, this particular example is ready for the next chapter, whether that involves taking it to the track for some fun or simply enjoying its exceptional craftsmanship and history on the road. The family's connection - this being the daughters car who the brother helped to look after for her - to this car adds another layer of significance, as it has been carefully preserved and appreciated for its heritage and performance.

Viewing is highly recommended for this unique opportunity to own a piece of British motoring history—a well-restored, race-ready example of the legendary WSM Sprite GT, ready to be enjoyed by its next lucky owner.
