OVERVIEW

The car competed in speed events in the hands of several drivers until purchased by Sean Mooney in the late 1980s. Mooney commissioned Simon Hadfield to restore it to F2 specification, fitting a Cosworth BDA, and then raced the Brabham in historic events from 1991 to 1996. In 2002, the car was sold to Japan where it competed until purchased and repatriated by the current owner in 2015.
Since returning to the UK the BT35 has been expertly restored and maintained by Neil Fowler Motorsport, on a no expense spared basis. Apart from a few minor bodywork scrapes it is in utterly immaculate condition throughout.
Fitted with a low-mileage Craig Beck BDA and FT200 gearbox, the Brabham also has in-date safety equipment, crack test and tank certificates and as such is genuinely ready to race. HTP papers are in process and will be supplied with the car, which is offered with an excellent spares package which includes:
• 1 nosecone (with wings)
• 1 engine cover
• 1 set of wheels
• 1 rear frame
• 1 rear crossmember
• 2 uprights
• 2 dampers
• 4 springs
• A selection of suspension parts
A great looking and professionally prepared Brabham, offering excellent value for money.
This immaculate Brabham has an interesting and continuous history from new.
It was supplied new to Tony Griffiths and fitted with a 5-litre Repco V8 engine for use in the British Hillclimb Championship and the British Sprint Championship.
Griffiths won one round of each series in 1971 and repeated the feat in 1972.
