OVERVIEW



This unique continuation car was built by Alan Mann Racing in 2015, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of their World Championship win. Wearing the iconic AMR red and gold livery the Daytona Coupé is correct in all respects, as recognised by the issue of an FIA HTP in April 2022. It is immaculately presented and a very competitive contender for Pre-66 GT races.
Originally purchased from AMR by Mark Martin who invested significant sums having the car built to ultimate specification. It is powered by a strong Neil Brown engine with a Peter Knight block, driving through a correct 4 speed T10 gearbox and Salisbury limited slip differential. The suspension has been highly developed, and the car runs a specially commissioned custom cage which improves headroom. Fuel tank and belts are in date and the car is offered with a spares package which consists of 4 spare wheels with tyres, 7 tyres and 6 discs.
Stunning from every angle and fabulous to drive this unique and well-sorted example was last raced at the 2023 Dubai Classic and would be a perfect entry to some very high-profile events worldwide.

However the arrival of the GT40 signalled the end of the road for the Cobra, and at the end of 1965 the six Daytona Coupés built were sold by Alan Mann. Needless to say these original cars are now extremely valuable.

However the arrival of the GT40 signalled the end of the road for the Cobra, and at the end of 1965 the six Daytona Coupés built were sold by Alan Mann.
